2025 BAA Summer School
From 25th July to Sunday 28th July the first BAA Summer School since Covid, was held at Ichiban Leeds. With over 100 adults & juniors attending this event.

BAA Executive Committee agreed to revise the membership fees from 1st Jan 2025. Membership fees were last changed in January 2019.

2nd WSAF European Championship
The 2nd WSAF (World Sport Aikido Federation) European Championships were held in Dublin, Ireland from 27th July to 28th July.

Koryu No Kata for 2025
Is the Dai Ni. The Dai Ni is the Tomiki School’s exploration of traditional aikido techniques performed at close quarters.

Dan grading fee from Jan 2025
BAA Executive Committee agreed that from 1st January 2025 the Dan grading fee will be £50.

Koryu No Kata of the year initiative
Dai Ichi chosen as the Koryu No Kata of the Year initiative. Dai Ichi is traditional aikido techniques performed at distance.

2023 Kazushi Seminar
Sessions explored parts of the Dai Ni, Dai San, Dai Yon and Goshin Ho looking into principles of Kazushi and timing. Delivered by senior BAA Instructors.

An early start and late finish in Bradford for the 55th BAA Open Nationals.

650 competitors took part in the 3rd WSAF International held in Tenri, Japan.
