Aikido is a Japanese form of self-defence and martial art that uses locks, holds, throws, and the opponent’s own movements.
Daitō-ryū Aiki-jūjutsu is the parent art to Aikido and many other martial arts. We practise Daitō-ryū as part of the Ginjukai, overseen by our teachers Howard Popkin and Joseph Brogna.
Shogun Martial Arts have been providing Martial Arts training in the Seaside town of Herne Bay since 1985. The club’s ethos is to provide a happy and safe place for people to study martial arts.
